Version 1.0. This policy covers the BeautyBye website and mobile app.
BeautyBye uses first-party session, authentication, security, checkout and legal-review state, and equivalent mobile secure or persistent storage, where needed to sign you in, protect requests, remember an unfinished transaction and provide features you request. These technologies cannot be switched off through a cookie preference because the relevant service would not work, but you can sign out or use device controls.
The service may remember choices such as filters or interface state. Where a functional technology is not necessary for a requested feature, it must remain off until the required choice has been obtained.
BeautyBye's code contains operational event records and dormant configuration points for analytics providers. The current launch candidate does not authorise non-essential analytics, advertising cookies, cross-app tracking or marketing SDK storage. Such technology must not be enabled until it has been inventoried, a valid consent control is available where PECR requires it, and users can reject as easily as accept and later change their choice.
Browser and device settings can remove local data, but blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in or checkout. BeautyBye does not currently claim to provide a separate cookie preference centre because non-essential storage is not approved for launch. We will update this policy before enabling any such technology. Contact customerservice@beautybye.co.uk with questions.
